Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!!
We went to Nana & Papa's house for Thanksgiving this year. It was a fun couple of days getting to see the whole family. Aunt Jenni, Uncle Merlyn and Aunt Jessica came up all the way from Nashville too!
She has her own crib and bedroom at their house! She slept so good except for one night Mommy had to sleep with her because she wasn't feeling good. She is getting her canine teeth in. We decided to do an early Christmas with the Nashville family since we won't see them for Christmas. Charlotte loved seeing all the lights on the tree and she actually got into unwrapping her gifts!! She got an adorable outfit, a cute little necklace and a new tea set! She had a great time playing with her cousin Mason too. She was his shadow. They would chase each other and she would watch him play games on his leapster.

It was so unseasonably warm on Thanksgiving day that we went outside to play basketball. Papa and Daddy lifted her up to make shots! She had so much fun. (picture are dark, taken on my phone, sorry!)

Opening her gifts from the Aunts!
 Playing footsie with Papa.

After a couple days at Nana & Papa's house, we went to Grandma & Grandpa LeClair's house for another Thanksgiving feast! Charlotte had a blast playing with her cousin Isaac!

Getting into Grandma's tupperware drawer!

Playing peek a boo in Grandma's Curtains.

We had such a great time with family and friends! So thankful we could all get together!

Cousins

This past Saturday we had Jen from Ruby Photography take some photos of Charlotte and Isaac for Christmas cards and a couple of them together since we haven't had any since Charlotte was 6 months old and Isaac was only a month old. Unfortunately, Charlotte wanted nothing to do with Isaac, which I guess is better than last time when all she did was smack him in the face! She is definitely a spoiled princess. She wanted to be the center of attention and when she wasn't, she refused to be photographed near Isaac! At least we were able to get a couple good pictures. I wish there was snow on the ground for the pictures however I'm not complaining that it's been warmer than normal for this time of year. Here are a couple of the proofs from the photo shoot.

Trick or Treat!

Charlotte dressed up as an Owl this Halloween!! Thank you Aunt Jessica for the oh so cute costume! It was nice and warm for the cold outdoors.

First we stopped at Grandma LeClair's house to show off our costume and get treats! Grandma had a gift bag full of goodies!! She got 3 puzzles and some candy (that daddy tried to steal!).

Next we stopped at Aunt Terri's house! She had so much fun watching all the different costumes come and go. She wasn't exactly sure of what was going on. Lastly we went to one of my coworker's house. They had it all decorated with bubbling cauldrons and fog machines with scary music playing! Charlotte got a little scared but after some kids came and she got use to it, she was all smiles. It was really cold out and she was getting tired from the fresh air so we headed home early.
She was happy to get home in the warmth and snuggle with Grandma Grandt!!

Decorating Pumpkins!!

Last night we decorated pumpkins for Halloween!! Charlotte had so much fun picking out her pumpkin to decorate.

Grandma Grandt was up and got Charlotte Mr. Pumpkin Head kits to decorate her pumpkin!

She had such a blast rearranging the faces over and over again!!

Admiring her hard work!

1 Year Photo Shoot (Part 2)

Here are some more of the photos from Charlotte's 1 year session. They turned out better than I could have hoped. Ruby Photography never stops amazing me!! Thanks Jen! And a big thank you to Ann Knoeck for making Charlotte's owl cake!!

1 Year Check Up

Charlotte had her one year check up today. It was a nightmare!! She absolutely hates laying down now that she can walk & run everywhere so needless to say, when it came time to lay her down to get her height and for Dr. Nick to do his check up, she threw a fit!! And that is putting it lightly! Somehow we  made it through the appointment and she was all smiles the minute it was over. Such a strong willed little girl and a big stinker! She is currently 31 3/4 inches tall which is in the 90th percentile and weighs 21lbs, 14 ounces which is the 75th percentile. She is a very tall girl and a good weight for her height. Her head circumference is 18 1/4 inches which is also the 90th percentile. Dr. Nick and the rest of the staff couldn't believe how good she is walking for only being 1 year old. She was running up and down the halls!
She even waved and said buh bye to the office lady when it was all over. We stopped and got her a happy meal afterwards, which she wanted nothing to do with except the apples. She gobbled them up. At least we know she's a healthy eater! She is on a great bed time routine. She takes a bath every night at about 7 or 7:30 depending on how tired she is and is in bed no later than 8pm every night. We have completely cut out bottles. She has a sippy cup she takes to bed. We've also switched to night time diapers and she's sleeping through the night. It has been quite a challenge making the changes but luckily it didn't take too long for her to adjust. She's getting so tall that pretty soon we're going to have to upgrade her crib for a toddler bed, she is almost too long for it now!
Her next appointment is at 15 months old. Hopefully she does better at that appointment than she did at this one!
