A Week in Nashville, Tennessee!!

We traveled down to my sister's place just outside of Nashville for a week. It was so great for Charlotte to spend some quality time with my two sisters. We left on Friday (3/16) and drove down to my Mom's house near Rockford, IL. We spent the night there and then headed to Chicago the next day to fly out.
"Me first St. Patrick's Day!"

We flew out on St. Patrick's Day. She had her First St. Patty's day pajamas on for the plane ride. She loved the plane!! She was a little jabber jaw and charming everyone on the plane.
Chillin' in the airport waiting to board the plane.

She was really interested in the window and watching out of it.

Sunday we went to church where my sister Jenni works and then we all (my sister Jenni, her husband Merlyn, my other sister Jessica, Matt, Charlotte and I) went to lunch at a cute little place called Calypso Cafe. After lunch Matt, Charlotte and I went for a walk since it was so beautiful out.
On our way to church!
Hangin' with Aunt Jessica at the Cafe.

Out enjoying the sunshine!!

On Monday we had a low key day. We played for a bit in the morning and then Charlotte had some quality "Daddy time" while I went shopping with Jenni.

Nap Time!!

Tuesday was an exciting day! We took Charlotte to the Nashville Zoo.

Charlotte really liked the bright colored birds! Just like in her favorite movie Rio!!

She had so much fun watching all the animals.

The Flamingos might have been her favorite. They were so active and loud, they really got her attention.

With all the surrounding excitement, our little angel passed right out! She made it through most of the zoo, although she missed the elephants and giraffes.

On Wednesday, Matt and Merlyn went golfing while Charlotte and I joined Jenni for a girl's day out!
Aunt Jenni bought her a new headband!! She really liked it! All smiles as usual.

Aunt Jessica stopped by to play!!

All ready for a slumber party at Aunt Jenni's house!!

Being silly on Aunt Jenni's lap.

 So much love.

Thursday morning we went to the Loveless Cafe. They have amazing biscuits and are well known for a famous crowd. We have gone here on numerous occasions while visiting the Nashville area.

She was intent on ordering off the menu. Ha ha....silly girl.

After brunch we went to the toy store that has bunnies during Easter. Luckily we got there during feeding time and the bunnies were in a frenzy!

Thursday was also Matt's birthday. We went to a Japanese Steakhouse and had Hibachi for dinner. It was so much fun watching Charlotte paying such close attention to the chef cook everything in front of us.
Watching the onion volcano fire!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Birthday Celebration with the whole gang!!

After dinner Aunt Jessica took us to Sweet CeCe's for frozen yogurt! Charlotte might have Mommy's sweet tooth. We let her try a couple licks of mine and she was instantly licking her chops and trying to get more. She kept grabbing my dish and trying to take my spoon.

Friday we flew back to Chicago.........we had a great week and were sad to say goodbye. Charlotte had so much fun and experienced so many new things. The only bad part of the week was the lack of sleep. She refused to sleep in the pack n play so in the end, she slept in bed with mommy all week. As much as I love snuggling with her, it was nice to get home to our own beds!

Last day with Aunt Jenni.

We got into Chicago late Friday night. Charlotte fell asleep before take off and didn't wake up until we had to get off the plane. Which is probably good since we hit some really bad weather. The next day we went to visit Great Grandma Grandt and went out to breakfast. When we got back to the house, we took Charlotte out to see the farm animals. She met Porkchop the pig, the fishes, and the horses too.
Wearing Grandpa's hat.

She's got Grandma wrapped around her finger!!

Meeting Porkchop.

The highchair Grandma borrowed for Charlotte....aka the torture device!! That thing is prehistoric!

Playing in Daddy's backseat......taking a time out from the car seat during a pit stop on the way home.

We had such a wonderful week in Nashville, however we are happy to be home and get back to our routine for Charlotte.

My New Cousin Isaac

Charlotte has a new cousin, Isaac Alan Gast. He was born to Keith and Colleen Gast on 3/13/2012 at 12:17am weighing 7lbs 6.9 ounces and 20 inches long! He has a head full of hair!! We were so lucky to be there when he arrived and are so excited to watch him grow. It's so nice that Charlotte and him are only 5 months apart. They will have a great time growing up together and playing.

The Happy Parents, Isaac and our bundle of joy, Charlotte.

Weekend at Kalahari

Matt had a pool tournament in the Dells this weekend so we brought Charlotte to experience her first time at a waterpark! Grandma Grandt came too!! It was so much fun and Charlotte just had a blast! We all went to dinner Friday night at Damons and she was such a good girl. She was looking around at all the people coming and going. The next morning we went to the waterpark. She absolutely loved splashing in the water and playing with Mommy and Daddy in the wave pool. After the waterpark she was wiped out so her and Grandma went back to the room for a nap while Mommy got to spend some quiet time at the spa!!!
She wasn't too sure about the life jacket but once she got in the water and could rest her head on the back of it....she just floated and kicked her legs in the water. She didn't fuss one bit. She is definitely happy in the water!

It will be even more fun when she gets just a little bit bigger and can do more in the park.

We had such a busy fun filled day that she fell asleep in her stroller!

Charlotte had a hard time sleeping in her pack n play so she spent the weekend sharing a bed with Mommy!! Grandma bought her a Kalahari Elephant to help her sleep.
My little sleeping Angel.
